ADHD QUIZ
Take a few minutes to explore whether ADHD could be shaping your life journey.
ABOUT THE ADHD ONLINE QUIZ
Please note that while our quiz is not a substitute for a formal diagnosis, it can still offer several valuable benefits:
It may help you recognise common ADHD symptoms you weren’t previously aware of.
It provides indicative scores that can help you consider whether a professional assessment might be appropriate.
It can offer reassurance by showing that others share similar experiences — you’re not alone.

OUR ONLINE ADHD QUIZ
Our ADHD quiz is designed for new patients who are considering an ADHD assessment with The Village Doctor. It helps screen for symptoms and gather important background information before a full psychological evaluation. This ensures we can offer safe, appropriate, and personalised care from the start.
If you suspect you may have ADHD, this quiz can serve as a helpful starting point. While it’s not a diagnostic tool, a positive result may indicate that a full professional assessment is worth considering.
This commonly used 18-question ADHD quiz is called the Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS v1.1) Symptom Checklist.
It was developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with Harvard Medical School, and is often used as a screening tool for adult ADHD. It covers the 18 criteria for ADHD as outlined in the DSM-IV, with Part A (6 questions) being especially predictive.
ADHD is typically marked by inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. However, it also affects the brain’s ability to regulate other functions. This can lead to symptoms like sleep difficulties, mood swings, disorganisation, forgetfulness, procrastination, emotional outbursts, impulsive spending, and trouble maintaining jobs or relationships.
ADHD is a neurological condition that can share symptoms with a range of other mental health or medical disorders.
Accurately distinguishing ADHD from other conditions requires a qualified medical professional — typically a psychiatrist, neurologist, or, in the case of children, sometimes a paediatrician.
We strongly advise against seeking a diagnosis from non-medical practitioners. While diagnosing ADHD may be relatively straightforward for a specialist, the more complex task is ruling out other possible causes — something only medically trained doctors are equipped to do.
What may appear to be ADHD could, in fact, be another condition entirely. That’s why self-diagnosis or informal assessment is not reliable or appropriate.
